This week I worked on Monday (4/25) from 8-12, Thursday (4/28) from 8-12 and Friday (4/29) from 8-5. Monday, I helped the photographers set up their areas. I helped Toby set up lights for a couple table top shots. Then I assisted Justin and Michelle set up a bed shot (put up walls, set up lights, get props, lay down floor boards, set up bed)
Thursday was fairly quiet because Henry and Justin were on location, so only two photographers were shooting in the studio. I put away some walls and stands then helped Toby set up a bed. Then we had to break it back down. The client sent the wrong size duvet (twin size instead of full), so they had to move on to the next shoot (curtains) and shot the bed once the client sends the correct size.

Friday, I worked with Toby for most of the day. We broke down and built his set back up for the days shoots. I gathered stray stands (light and background) around the facility and put them all away. When the day went on and began to get a little slower, I watched them shoot. Then when things got even slower, each photographer showed me things. Miyuko showed me the Hasselblads and Capture One, Toby gave me a lighting suggestion for a product shot I was struggling with at home. Laura showed me some food styling tricks:
- Kitchen Boquet can be used to make coffee, iced tea, some alcoholic beverages and white wine, depending on the dilution.
- Drop a pinch of salt into a carbonated beverage to make it fizz for the camera.
- Trengove Studios sells stuff that can be used to make realistic food such as ice, bubbles, ice cream, etc.
- New vocab word, "heros"- the product (package, best pieces, etc) that is pretty enough to shoot.
